Junji Ito Maniac: Tales of the Macabre

 

Junji Ito’s next collection of stories being adapted into anime starts January 19, 2023, on Netflix around the world, the streamer revealed today along with a preview of the opening animation theme and single “Paranoid” by MADKID, more staff that will be bringing Junji Ito Maniac: Tales of the Macabre to a very horrific life.

The streamer also confirmed that the staff from the Junji Ito Collection anime return for the Junji Ito Maniac: Tales of the Macabre anime at Studio DEEN, including director and character designer Shinobu Tagashira, series composer Kaoru Sawada, music composer Yuki Hayashi and sound director Hozumi Goda. 

 

Along with Tales of the Macabre, Ito’s work previously inspired the aforementioned Junji Ito Collection anime in 2018 with an adaptation of his Uzumaki manga is currently in the works for Adult Swim.
