At the ding of the New Year’s bell, Japanese pop superstar Aimer, best known from the last year for performing the opening theme song to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc, announced that she is now married to long-time collaborator Masahiro Tobinai. Tobinai is a music producer who has composed songs for many of Japan’s top singers, including his now-wife, Meimi Tamura and Yun*chi.

Aimer and Tobinai wrote in their above statement that they hope fans will continue to walk with them on this “musical journey” of theirs and that they “pledge to live our lives with an even greater appreciation for each other’s music.”
