Jan Rabson, Voice of Tetsuo in Streamline’s Akira Dub, Passes Away

Jan Rabson is a voice actor who had a number of roles in the world of anime over the years, including Tetsuo in the Streamline Pictures English dub of Katsuhiro Otomo’s landmark anime film Akira. According to fellow VA Bob Bergen, Rabson recently passed away at the age of 68.

Beyond voicing Tetsuo in a truly iconic dub of Akira, Rabson is known for roles in Gatchaman/G-Force, Ponyo, Black Magic M-66, Street Fighter II V, Royal Space Force – The Wings of Honnêamise and the Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy, among others.
