Idolland PriPara Mobile Game Hit With Fifth Delay

idolland pripara

The Idolland PriPara mobile app is next up for the PriPara series, but it’s still getting hit with delays. The new game was originally planned for a spring 2021 launch before being pushed back to summer 2021. After that it was delayed to spring 2022, summer/fall 2022 and then October 2022 and, as if the headline was any indication, they’re not quite ready yet.

A fifth delay has been put in place, but there’s no new release date at the time of this writing. According to the announcement, the staff should announce updated release plans sometime around this June. The reason for this postponement was the need for improvements to be made with the quality of the game’s content and the app.

The app will also have its own anime streaming within it, marking the first for the series in three years. Makoto Moriwaki is returning to direct, with Michihiro Tsuchiya supervising scripts at Tatsunoko Productions.

Stay tuned for more as we await the updated release schedule.
