Idol Land Pripara Game App Postpones Its Release for The Fourth Time



Takara Tomy Arts, a Takara Tomy group company, announced today that the release of its smartphone game app Idol Land Pripara is once again postponed to an undetermined date. This is the fourth time the game’s release has been delayed.


The new game app inspired by the idol-themed Pripara franchise was originally planned to launch in the spring of 2021. Then, its release date has been moved to the summer of 2021, the spring of 2022, and the summer or fall of 2022. As the end of this fall approached, many fans have been expressing concern about the situation.


The company’s press release writes, “We have decided to postpone the service launch of the smartphone app ‘Idol Land Pripara,’ which was scheduled for the summer or fall of 2022, in order to improve the contents of the game the quality of the app better. The specific schedule will be announced around December 2022. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause to our customers who have been looking forward to the release of this new app. The entire staff will make every effort to deliver the app to you as soon as possible, and we would appreciate your understanding. “





Meanwhile, the first three espisodes (Episode #00 to #02) of the web anime series Idol Land Pripara have been available on the Idol Land Pripara official YouTube channel. The newly-edited version of the three episodes with audio commentary by the voice cast, which was featured in the advance online screenings, will be streamed on YouTube in the following schedule.


  • November 2: Episode #01 “Idol Amarimashita!” (Commentary: Riho Iida, Himika Akaneya)
  • November 16: Episode #00 “Idol Land Hajimechaimashita!” (Commentary: Riho Iida, Arisa Date)
  • November 30: Episode #02 “Amarinimo Promise!” (Commentary: Seiichiro Yamashita, Reiou Tsuchida, Tatsuyuki Kobayashi)
