Following a months-long silence and necessary discontinuation of Hunter x Hunter‘s short-lived weekly serialization in December, mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi announced to his three million Twitter followers today that the series’ 401st chapter has been completed. A publication date is yet to be revealed.

He also states, “Although the process still needs ironing out, I’m glad that I’ve been able to work at my desk more, bit by bit.”

Togashi has been more open with his health over 2022, opening up a Twitter account to give updates on his condition and to show off the progress he’s making on the latest chapters of Hunter x Hunter

The manga returned to the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump on October 24 after a nearly four-year hiatus. This new periodic serialization will start with chapter 401 and continue to the end of the series. Shonen Jump editors noted that Togashi will continue to write Hunter x Hunter and that the department is fully supporting Togashi in his work.
