The anime is set to premiere in 2023 with Kaori, who previously worked on YUYUSHUKI and The Quintessential Quintuplets II, attached to direct, alongside series composition written by Natsuko Takahashi (Farewell, My Dear Cramer) and character designer/chief animation director Takahiro Sakai (YUKI YUNA IS A HERO). Studio Gokumi (Phantom of the Idol) is working on the animation.

The manga has been serialized in the magazine since May 2019 and has so far released three collected volumes in Japan. The publisher’s official web page for the manga describes its first volume’s synopsis as below (translated from Japanese):

A shy girl, Umika’s problem is that she cannot speak well because of her excessive stage fright. She has gradually given up trying to make friends. Then one day, a transfer student named Yu appears. She is an alien and has the ability of “Odekopathy,” which allows her to understand the feelings of others when her forehead is attached to other’s…!? A dazzling coming-of-age story of “yuri” and “space” by up-and-coming author Rusuko Okuma.
