Homecomings to Perform Ending Theme Song for Insomniacs After School TV Anime
To help us unwind at the end of each episode when the series begins in April 2023, upcoming slice-of-romance anime Insomniacs After School today revealed the enlistment of indie rock band Homecomings to perform “Laps” for the ending theme song.

It was also announced that a pre-screening of the first three episodes will be held on March 19 at TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro in Tokyo. Cast members Gen Sato, Konomi Tamura, Haruka Tomatsu and Seiichiro Yamashita will be in attendance for a panel event.

Based on the manga by Makoto Ojiro, Insomniacs After School is being directed by Yuki Ikeda (Tribe Nine episode director) at studio LIDEN FILMS, with series composition by Rintaro Ikeda (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It), character designs by Hiroaki Fukuda (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song- animation director) and music by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia).
The slice-of-life romance series follows the star-crossing of Ganta and Isaki, two struggling insomniacs in Nanao who find comfort together in the now defunct Astronomy Club observatory. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and sums it up below:
Two sleepless teenagers find kinship as they escape to their school’s astronomy observatory.
Unable to sleep at night, Ganta Nakami is cranky in class and unpopular with his classmates. He discovers that the school observatory, once used by the now-defunct astronomy club, may be the perfect place for a nap—but he’s not alone. Fellow insomniac Isaki Magari is willing to share the observatory with Nakami, and a friendship between the two begins as they bond over the most unlikely of things.
Dark rumors about what befell the members of the astronomy club keep people away from the school observatory, and that’s what makes it the perfect sanctuary for Nakami and Magari to get some much-needed rest. Unfortunately, the school faculty can’t allow its unsanctioned use. But if there were a new astronomy club, maybe these two insomniacs could have a place to call home!
