Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka’s Grand Blue Dreaming manga is currently running in Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine, but the March 2023 issue announced that it’s about to go on hiatus. While the announcement didn’t elaborate on any specific conditions, it stated that one of the creators is currently suffering from a sudden illness.

There’s currently no date in place for the manga’s return, so stay tuned for further updates.

The Grand Blue Dreaming manga first launched in Good! Afternoon back in April 2014, and 19 compiled volumes have been published as of August 2022. New chapters are simulpubbed via Crunchyroll, and the series inspired both a TV anime in July 2018—which streamed around the world on Amazon Prime Video—and a live-action film.

Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English and describes the story like so:

After moving out on his own to a seaside town, Iori Kitahara makes a college debut he never anticipated. A new chapter of his life unfolds, full of diving with beautiful girls and shenanigans with a gaggle of lovable bastards! Idiot-expert Kenji Inoue and au naturel authority Kimitake Yoshioka bring you a glorious college tale filled with booze-fueled antics!
