Gintama Anime Returns With ‘3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei’ Spin-off

 

Just when you thought Gintama was done being adapted into anime form, you were wrong! At the Gintama Ato no Matsuri 2023 event for the franchise tonight, the series announced that the 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei light novels by Tomohito Osaki will be getting an anime! A teaser trailer featuring Sugita as Gintoki and Ginpachi was released.

The 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei anime is part of a wider 20th anniversary celebration where from now until 2026, Gintama will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with a bunch of projects under the banner of Gintama 20th Anniversary Year. Because that’s how years work.

 

While 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei doesn’t yet have a date, the anime will be once again produced at BN Pictures.
