Those traveling to Nagoya for Ghibli Park this November will ultimately get a little peckish on their journey to the center of Japan, this izakaya (Japanese bar) will likely be your first port of call before you head into the Great Ghibli Warehouse. Nagoya-based izakaya chain Donan Norin Suisanbu revealed last week that they’ll be recreating a bunch of dishes from Studio Ghibli films to celebrate the park’s opening in November.

Here’s a taste of the menu:

While the izakaya is mostly known for Hokkaido-based foods, the Nagoya chain will be getting into the Ghibli spirit with dishes such as Ham Ramen from Ponyo, Calcifer’s Bacon and Eggs from Howl’s Moving Castle, Lupin’s meatball spaghetti from the Castle of Cagliostro, and even the food eaten by Chihiro’s parents in Spirited Away that turn them into pigs – though I doubt that’ll happen here … maybe.

With all the locations of Donan Norin Suisanbu in Aichi prefecture and with a few locations close to Ghibli Park itself, it’d be a great place to go after spending the day soaking in Ghibli goodness when the park opens. The new menu starts on October 11, just a few weeks ahead of the park’s November 1 opening with no mention of when the menu will end.
