Gamera Series Looks Back on Its 57-year History with 12 Films in Special Movie

 

 

57 years ago, on November 27, 1965, the first film in the Gamera series, Gamera, the Giant Monster, opened in Japan. To commemorate its 57th anniversary, a special movie looking back on its history is now streamed on KADOKAWA Movie YouTube channel. 

 

The tokusatsu film series starring Gamera, one of Japan’s most iconic kaiju along with Godzilla, has produced 12 feature films to date. As reported, a new work entitled GAMERA -Rebirth- in now in the works for worldwide streaming on Netflix. The new work is briefly teased in the end of the clip.
