Fly High with New Doraemon Attraction at Universal Studios Japan

Doraemon, Nobita, and all their friends ride again next March when Doraemon: Nobita’s Sky Utopia premieres in theaters. A month before that, fans will be able to dive into the world of the series with a new attraction at Osaka’s Universal Studios Japan!

This is the latest in USJ’s run of Doraemon-inspired rides. The Stand by Me Doraemon 2 XR Ride was in place from 2020 to 2021, taking visitors on a ride through time and space mirroring the sequel to the popular CG-animated film. This time, riders will visit the floating islands of Paradapia, where everything is (seemingly) perfect.

Over the last several years, USJ’s “Cool Japan” initiative has brought anime- and film-inspired attractions to the park, putting their best foot forward to tourists from Japan and abroad. Rides and experiences inspired by GodzillaNeon Genesis EvangelionSailor MoonAttack on Titan, and more have had limited runs at the park during recent seasons.

The Doraemon: Nobita’s Sky Utopia ride will be open from February 23 to September 3, 2023.
