Eir Aoi Sings Sword Art Online: Alicization Ending Theme for With ensemble Acoustic Project

 

 

“With ensemble” is a new YouTube content that brings new aspects of artists through collaboration between artists and orchestras. The concept is to cut out a live ensemble for that day only, with each performance featuring an original orchestral arrangement and a guest artist.

 

In its latest video, anisong singer Eir Aoi appeared to sing her 18th single song “I will…,” which was featured as the ending theme for the second cour of the TV anime Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld. She performed the one of her most popular anime theme songs with piano and four string instruments (two violins, viola, and cello) in an orchestral arrangement. She says on Twitter, “I sang in a beautiful arrangement,” and “The song was arranged so wonderfully!”

“I will…” was released digitally on July 20, 2020, then ranked No.1 on Oricon’s daily digital single charts on its first day, then its physical CD followed on August 12 and ranked sixth in the weekly single charts.
