EGOIST’s PSYCHO-PASS PROVIDENCE Film Ending Theme MV Now Streamed

 

 

Following the theme song “Alexithymiaspare” by Ling tosite Sigure, songwriter/producer Ryo’s (Supercell) musical unit EGOIST has posted a music video for “Toujisha” (The Person Concerned), the ending theme for the forthcoming anime feature film PSYCHO-PASS PROVIDENCE.

EGOIST previously provided the first PSYCHO-PASS TV anime’s two ending themes: “Namae no Nai Kaibutsu” and “All Alone With You,” as well as the second season’s ending theme “Fallen.” After the digital release on April 17, the CD single of “Toujisha” will be released as EGOIST’s 11th single on May 12.

I am very happy and honored to once again be a part of the world of “PSYCHO-PASS.”

 

The song “Toujisha” was completed as the result of a lot of trial and error in the production stage, including the sound and vocal work. I was given much more detailed direction than usual on technical aspects such as the position of the breath, but I went through the recording process after reading carefully and thinking deeply about the delicate words that reminded me of the current world situation. It almost had me think that there was no need for such logic in front of the lyrics.

 

I think the conflict between such a non-negotiable part as an expressive person, my own image of Inori Yuzuriha, and the appearance of the song miraculously became a part of the beautiful and distorted colors of this song. I sang this song with great care so that anyone who hears it will not be a third party who pretends not to see it. I hope you will enjoy this song along with the film.
