Based on the manga by Hiro Mashima, EDENS ZERO Season 2 is being directed by Toshinori Watabe (Tokyo Ghoul:re) at studio J.C.STAFF, replacing Season 1 director Yuji Suzuki, with series composition by Mitsutaka Hirota (Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles) and character designs by Yurika Sato (The Demon Girl Next Door animation director).

Netflix, who currently streams the first season worldwide, describes the series as such:

It is the year X492, an age in which people freely travel through the universe. Rebecca, a video-creating B-Cuber, visits the robotic world of Granbell and meets a young man with special powers: Shiki, who’s lived his entire life among machines. Soon Shiki is exploring the cosmos with Rebecca, encountering new places, people and things, and making friends along the way.
