Dr. STONE Anime Staff Takes Us Behind the Scenes with the Making of NEW WORLD

 

The saga of Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi’s Dr. STONE manga is currently ongoing with the latest season of the anime adaptation, Dr. STONE NEW WORLD, and now we have a peek behind the curtain. The Crunchyroll team recently visited production house TMS Entertainment, where animation producer Shusuke Katagiri, director Shuhei Matsushita and other key staff members took everyone behind the scenes for a look at how the anime is made.

Dr. STONE NEW WORLD premiered on April 20 and is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll, with new episodes premiering every week. Here’s the official series synopsis:

 

Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens.

 

Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world. Starting with his super strong childhood friend Taiju Oki, who awakened at the same time, they will begin to rebuild civilization from nothing…
