Do It Yourself!! TV Anime to Brighten Up Its Cold Hometown With Taxi Collab

 

It might be very handy to build things, but it’s even handier driving people to where they need to go – especially in the snow-ridden city of Sanjo in Niigata prefecture during these record-breaking winter months. The original Do It Yourself!! TV anime has teamed up with the Sanjo branch of Hinomaru Taxi to bring some color to the snow fields.

 

Three Hinomaru taxis will be wrapped in Do It Yourself!! decals, with both sides featuring different images. Do It Yourself!! is based in the metalworks town and is being used to help promote the history of the city to anime fans.

 

Here are some shots of the taxis that will be driving around Sanjo city until March 31, 2023.

Do It Yourself!! is directed by Kazuhiro Yoneda (Hozuki’s Coolheadedness) at the anime studio PINE JAM. The original series premiered in October 2022 with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it aired, describing the anime as such:

 

Building furniture and friendships have a lot in common. Intention, effort, and hard work are needed for both crafts. This is a story of girls in a DIY club building both as they carve out their futures. None of it comes easy, but that doesn’t stop any of ’em. Furniture, friendships, and the future—they’re building it all with their own hands!
