Discotek Announces The King of Braves: GAOGAIGAR, Sonic X, Kamen Rider Black and More

Discotek Media announced a whole slate of new licenses and upcoming releases at their Very Skooktacular Discotek Day stream today, including upcoming releases of The King of Braves GAOGAIGAR, Kamen Rider Black and much more.

 

Announcements made during the panel are in alphabetical order.

 

Aim for the Ace!: 26-episode release in 1080p HD in Japanese with subtitles. Scheduled to release in early 2023.

 

 

Another (live action): Blu-ray release in Japanese with English subtitles. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

 

 

Digimon Adventure: Original Japanese language release of the 54-episode series using the same AstroRes process as the English-language release. Scheduled to release later in 2023.

 

 

Fist of the North Star: The Legend of the True Savior: The theatrical adaptations of the Holy Emperor arc in Fist of the North Star. Three movie and two short film release (with others released separately) in Japanese with subtitles, plus a new English dub from Sound Cadence. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

Ghost Stories: 20-episode Blu-ray release in Japanese with subtitles and the ADV Films dubbed version. Includes the ADV closed caption track, original promos and a brand new commentary track on the final episode with ADR director Ste7en Foster. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

Golgo 13 (live action): First English-language home video release of the 1973 movie starring Ken Takakura, in Japanese with English subtitles. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

Kamen Rider Black: The eighth Kamen Rider franchise released under the Toku Time label. A 51-episode release across five discs in Japanese with English subtitles, including extras and a cast-and-crew reunion roundtable. Scheduled to release later in 2023.

Mononoke: 12-episode release in Japanese with English subtitles, including a rarely seen English dubbed version. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

 

 

Mysterious Thief Saint Tail: 43-episode 1080p HD release in Japanese with subtitles, including the English dubbed version of episodes 1-15. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

 

 

Project A-ko: FINAL: 1080p HD release in Japanese with English subtitles and the English dubbed version. Extras include the theatrical trailer, liner notes and art galleries. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

 

 

Sonix X: 78-episode SD-BD release in Japanese with English subtitles, including the 5.1 audio tracks from the Japanese HISPEC DVDs, as well as the 2.0 mixes. Subtitles are updated based on the original Hulu subtitles, with additional translation updates. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

 

 

Suicide Club (live action): Blu-ray remastered release from the original film elements under the Nihon Nights label in Japanese with English subtitles. Scheduled to release in winter 2023.

The King of Braves GAOGAIGAR: 49-episode 1080p HD release in Japanese with English subtitles, including the English dubbed version of episodes 1-25. Extras to include interviews, omake clips and more. Scheduled to release in winter 2023. Additionally, GAOGAIGAR FINAL is scheduled to release on Blu-ray in the future.

Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy: 77-episode SD-BD release in English. Scheduled to release in early 2023.

 

 

The panel also announced updates on the forthcoming Gunbuster release, with extras including commercials, shorts, commentaries and a new commentary by Dr. Jonathan Clements covering all six episodes of the series.
