Demon Slayer World Tour Screenings Offer 35mm Film Strips to Fans in Japan

Demon Slayer World Tour

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour is on the way to theaters in the U.S. on March 3, and it’s already had an explosion of success in Japan. Now it’s getting ready to expand to Dolby Cinema and 4DX/MX4D screens throughout Japan, and it will be bringing a new bonus along with it to incentivize attendees, whether they’ve seen it already or not.

This particular bonus comes in the form of a series of 35mm film strips. Attendees will receive one of 100 film strips starting when the new screenings begin on February 25. The scenes have been carefully selected from all 11 episodes of the Entertainment District arc and will be given out at random along with display cases.

The event—which recently expanded its regions—includes a feature-length cut of The Entertainment District Arc‘s 10th and 11th episodes as well as an extended first episode of Swordsmith Village Arc featuring 4K video and remastered audio. There is also a special recap video shown at the start of each screening to take us through Tanjiro’s journey in Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series.

Following a February 18 premiere in LA, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour opens around the United States on March 3, available both dubbed and in Japanese with English subtitles.

As for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc, the new season is officially set to begin its broadcast on Fuji TV in Japan in April 2023, starting with a one-hour special first episode.
