Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Promo Celebrates Kanao’s Birthday

While Tanjiro recuperates from his injuries at a special hospital, Kanao Tsuyuri and Tanjiro Kamado engage in a one-sided conversation in a scene from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV anime.

May 19th marks the birthday of Kanao Tsuyuri, the apprentice to the Insect Hashira in Koyoharu Gotouge’s Shonen Jumo manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and now the official JUMP COMICS CHANNEL on YouTube published an English-subtitled “motion comic” style promo video (below) to celebrate the occasion.

If you need more Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba in your life, an English language version of the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge is available from VIZ Media, with Crunchyroll currently streaming the TV anime adaptation of the Swordsmith Village Arc. Crunchyroll describes the series:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.

Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
