Super Kabuki II (the “II” is pronounced as “Second”), an ongoing project that combines traditional Japanese theater with modern subjects and technological innovations, is adapting a kabuki stage production of the mega-popular Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV anime and manga that will run in the Shinbashi Ebujo theater district in Tokyo, Japan in February and March of 2024.

The staff for the production includes:

  • Original work: “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” by Koyoharu Gotouge (published by Shueisha under their Jump Comics imprint)
  • Script: Kensuke Yokouchi
  • Director: Kunio Sugihara
  • Coordinating director: Ichikawa En’nosuke IV
  • Supervisor: Ichikawa En’o II
