Date A Live Anime to Live Stream 10th Anniversary Special Program on April 5

 

 

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Date A Live TV anime series and the fifth anniversary of the Date A Live: Spirit Pledge smartphone game, a special program will be live streamed on YouTube KADOKAWA anime channel on April 5.

 

The first season of the TV anime adaptation of Koshi Tachibana’s Date A Live sci-fi romantic comedy light novel series started airing in Japan in April 2013, and production of its next fifth season was announced after the final 12th episode of its fourth season aired in June 2022. In the special program, new information about the forthcoming fifth season will finally be revealed!

All of the four seasons of the Date A Live TV anime are available on Crunchyroll both dubbed and subbed for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe (excluding German-speaking territories), Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and India.

 

Series synopsis:

 

Ordinary high school boy Shido discovers a mysterious girl at ground zero of a recent spacequake. Shido learns, through his sister Kotori, that the girl is one of the Spirits: mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes. Shido is recruited to help “seal” the sprits and end their threat to mankind. There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a spirit—is to make her fall in love with you.
