October marks the 15th anniversary of the premiere of the Clannad TV anime series from Tatsuya Ishihara and the team at Kyoto Animation, giving anime viewers two seasons of pure emotional entertainment. To commemorate the anniversary, Kiritorie has created a gorgeous traditional Japanese paper cutting of Nagisa. The company released a behind the scenes of the creation of the piece.
Kiritorie is one company that has brought the art of Japanese paper cutting, known as kirie to modern times, blending the style with contemporary techniques such as using Photoshop to bring their pieces to life. The company has previously done collaborations with Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, Hyouka and many more.
The Clannad piece is only available via order until November 25 for 16,500 yen (US$111) through Kiritorie’s online store.
