Check Out Enako’s Spot-on Yor Forger SPY x FAMILY Cosplay

spy x family cour 2

Professional cosplayer Enako was recently on the Japanese TV variety show Honma Dekka!?, and it wouldn’t be Enako if she weren’t dressed up like a character with otaku ties. She decided to dress as Yor Forger from SPY x FAMILY, and you can see her spot-on costume here.

She looks good enough to be in the live-action stage musical as Yor! (To see what the actual actresses hired to play Yor look like, click here.)

Comedian Akira Kawashima and Daisuke Sakuma from the group Snow Man were also on the variety show, though they didn’t cosplay along with Enako. The episode wanted to know what manga its guests would recommend. Enako didn’t mention the spy comedy SPY x FAMILY, and instead went for something more intense-sounding: Brutal: Satsujin Kansatsukan no Kokuhaku (translated by ANN as Brutal: Confessions of a Homicide Investigator). The manga has not received an English license.

Some comments online about Enako’s Yor cosplay include:

“She’s on a whole other level.”
“Looks great–she even got the eye color with colored contacts.”
“This is the quality cosplay we’ve come to expect from Enako!”
“Whoa, it’s a real-life Yor…”

VIZ Media publishes the original SPY x FAMILY manga in English, and gave this description for the first volume:

“Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!”

Of course Enako’s Yor Forger outfit is only one of hundreds of outfits she keeps around for her cosplaying. You can check out her cosplay warehouse here. Maybe someday she’ll cosplay as someone from her new favorite manga, Brutal: Confessions of a Homicide Investigator?
