Following in the footsteps of SPY x FAMILY‘s Loid earlier this year, Aki Hayakawa from Chainsaw Man — arguably Fall 2022’s most eligible bachelor — will be taking the front and back cover of women’s lifestyle magazine anan for its November 9 issue, courtesy of studio MAPPA.

The issue will include photos and comments from cast members Kikunosuke Toya (Denji), Tomori Kusunoki (Makima) and Shogo Sakata (Aki), as well as interviews with animation producer Keisuke Seshimo and manga editor Shihei Lin.

Based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man is directed by Ryu Nakayama (JUJUTSU KAISEN Episode 19 Director)
at studio MAPPA, with scripts by Hiroshi Seko (Mob Psycho 100JUJUTSU KAISEN), character designs by Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation)
and music by Kensuke Ushio (A Silent Voice).

Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan, describing it as such:

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
