Celebrate Christmas Time with Evangelion Gendo Ikari Special Cake!
In preparation for the upcoming Christmas season, Cake.jp, an online store specializing in cakes and sweets, has started offering an original cake inspired by Gendo Ikari, one of the main characters of the Evangelion franchise, from November 22.
The store has collaborated many popular anime franchises, such as One Piece, Tokyo Revengers, JUJUTSU KAISEN, and Attack on Titan. From the Evangelion franchise, it has been selling special cakes inspired by Shinji Ikari, Asuka Shikinami Langley, Rei Ayanami, Mari Makinami Illustrious, and Kaworu Nagisa.
The cake is topped with Gendo Ikari with both elbows propped up on a desk, surrounded by a “SOUNDONLY” chocolate plate, with his hands crossed over his mouth. To match his worldview, the cream is also designed to be black and swirled. Contrary to its appearance, the cake is filled with strawberries, making it a shortcake that anyone can enjoy. The price of the 15cm cake is 6,300 yen (44.43 USD).
