The adventures of Sakura Kinomoto will continue, because a sequel anime has been announced Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, the 2018 TV anime adaptation based on the popular magical girl manga by CLAMP. The announcement was revealed at the “Sakura Fest” event held at Shinagawa Intercity Hall venue in Tokyo on April 01, 2023.

The exact details for the new anime (such as the cast, the crew, the format, and the release date) have not yet been revealed, although it is noted that the sequel will depict the story Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card to its conclusion. Sakura had managed to capture all of the Clow Cards which could bring disaster to the world and turned them into her own Sakura Cards. Now it’s spring. With cherry trees in full blossom, Sakura is just entering middle school. Her beloved Syaoran has returned from Hong Kong, and Sakura was thrilled to be going to school with him again.
