Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights Mobile Game to End Service Soon

Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights

This year kicked off with the launch of Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights, a mobile entry in Square Enix’s RPG series that quickly attracted millions of players. All good things must come to an end, though, and the official accounts have locked in a date for the end of service in Japan. As tends to be the case with these announcements, the reason cited is that the devs decided they won’t be able to provide satisfactory service moving forward.

Sales of Mythril have already been discontinued along with the announcement, and players will be able to use what they have—and get refunds for unused Mythril at a later date—until service comes to an end on February 28, 2023.

In the meantime, those who are still playing can look forward to the end of the main story along with new event quests and more as Square Enix builds up to the end of service.
