Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki Season 2 Plans Revealed

A little over a year ago we got word that more anime was in the works for Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki, though few details were announced. Now we know the new anime is specifically a 13-episode second season subtitled 2nd STAGE, and a special trailer arrived to tease the continuation. 

There’s also a special event called Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki Fes on the way to Saitama Kaikan Hall in Saitama—where the series is set—on April 16. Voice actors will be in attendance and you can see an event visual below.

The first season of Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki was produced at studio project No. 9, with Shinsuke Yanagi (My Stepmom’s Daughter is My Ex) directing, Fumihiko Shimo (BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense) on series composition and Akane Yano on character designs. 

Yen Press publishes the original light novels by Yuki Yaku and Fly in English and describes them like so:

Tomozaki is one of the best gamers in Japan, and in his opinion, the game of real life is one of the worst. No clear-cut rules for success, horribly balanced, and nothing makes sense. But then he meets a gamer who’s just as good as him, and she offers to teach him a few exploits…
