It’s been a while since the second season of the BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense. anime was revealed, but we finally have something new to get us excited for more. The sequel’s first trailer has arrived along with the news that season 2 will make its way to the airwaves in Japan in January 2023.

When the second season of BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense. was first announced, it was penciled in for sometime in 2022, but those plans have clearly changed. You can check out the first preview below.

 

 

 

Director Shin Oonuma (WATAMOTE) is back at the helm, with a returning staff that includes series composition writer Fumihiko Shimo, character designer Kazuya Hirata, music composer Taro Masuda and more. The cast is also returning to reprise their roles in the new season.

The original BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense. light novels are published in Japan by Kadokawa under their Kadokawa Books imprint, an English language version is in-development from Yen Press. Funimation currently streams the first season of BOFURI, and describes the story as follows:
