Ayakashi Triangle TV Anime Sets January 9 Premiere with 1st Trailer

Ecchi comedy series Ayakashi Triangle shared more information about its upcoming anime adaptation during a livestream program today, announcing a January 9 at 25:00 JST premiere (effectively January 10 at 1:00) and releasing the full first trailer that shows off the series’ opening and ending themes.

 

Philosophy no Dance (The Honor at Magic High School ED) performs “Neppu wa Rutensuru” for the opening theme, while MIMiNARI (Rent-a-Girlfriend S2 ED) performs “Itowanai feat. Miyu Tomita and Kana Ichinose” for the ending theme.

Based on the manga by Kentaro Yabuki, Ayakashi Triangle is being directed by Noriaki Akitaya (The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest, Slow Loop) and assistant-directed by Kei Umabiki at studio CONNECT, with series composition by Shogo Yasukawa (The Executioner and Her Way of Life), character designs by Hideki Furukawa (Strike the Blood) and music by Rei Ishizuka (A Couple of Cuckoos). Jin Aketagawa serves as sound director.

 

Seven Seas Entertainment, who publish the manga’s official English version in print, describes the first volume as such:

 

A hilarious and sexy tale of ninja exorcists, supernatural battles, and gender-bending romance by Kentaro Yabuki, the artist of To Love Ru and DARLING in the FRANXX–inspired an upcoming anime!

 

Matsuri Kazamaki’s job as an exorcist ninja means that his livelihood depends on driving away the ayakashi spirits who endanger humans. He’s been protecting his childhood friend, Suzu Kanade, from the shadows for years, as she effortlessly attracts ayakashi. What will happen when Suzu encounters a creature who looks like a simple cat, but who is really Shirogane, the king of ayakashi?
