Awesome Games Done Quick 2023 Marathon Speeds Its Way Past $2.6 Million for Charity

Another installment of the Awesome Games Done Quick speedrunning marathon is in the books as of today, and that means another monumental amount of money has been raised for charity. This year’s online-only event managed to pull in over $2.6 million, all of which is going to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

Awesome Games Done Quick 2023 Online streamed on Twitch from January 8-15. Over the course of the event a handful of records were broken, too, including the Co-op Any% Arcade Old Patch run of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge by Benja and Paul-Knives (56:18); the Any% with Bank Run of Super Mario Galaxy 2 by Jhay (2:54:51.33); the 6 Players, All Vehicles, No Soap run of PowerWash Simulator by Amyrlinn, Bullets, Biglaw, Enigma Requiem, AngelicKnight, and Acadiel (33:31.7) and the any% 9 exits run of Steven Seagal Is: The Final Option (Prototype) by Crak Atak (21:44.6).

 

Next up for Games Done Quick is the winter all-women Frost Fatales speedrunning marathon, which will stream on Twitch February 26-March 4.
