Autumn is Mysterious in “Dongitsune” Animated TV CM for Nissin Foods

 

Autumn is a time for mysterious meetings in a new animated TV commercial series entitled “Dongitsune Season 2 Autumn Edition”, which features a cute fox-spirit girl to promote Nissin Foods’ “Nissin no Donbei” line of instant kitsune udon noodle dishes. The 30 second TV spot (below) features character designs by manga author Eisaku Kubonouchi, who also worked on the “HUNGRY DAYS” series for Nissin Cup Noodles.

In the commercial, a bespectacled youth (voiced by Kikunosuke Toya) is eating kitsune udon when Dongitsune (voiced by An Ogawa) appears. They attend an autumn festival together, but afterwards the mysterious fox-spirit girl vanishes…

 

A full-length version of the TV commercial will begin broadcasting on TV stations throughout Japan on September 28, 2022.
