Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout Video Game Transforms into TV Anime in Summer 2023
Join Ryza and her friends as she explores a whole new world: anime!
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout, the 21st installment in the long-running Atelier game series, debuted worldwide in 2019. Today, it was announced that an animated version of the alchemically-powered RPG will be coming to television this year.
To celebrate, a minute-long teaser was released on the animation project’s new website. Here’s your first look at Ryza and her friends Lent and Tao setting off for adventure:

A short video interview with Yuri Noguchi, who will be reprising her role as Ryza in the anime adaptation, was also released:

Also confirmed to be reprising their roles from the game are:
- Hitomi Ōwada as Klaudia Valentz
- Takuma Terashima as Lent Marslink
- Yui Kondo as Tao Mongarten
- Hirofumi Nojima as Empel Vollmer
- Haruka Terui as Lila Decyrus

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout will be directed by Emma Yuzuriha at Liden Films, with Yashichiro Takahashi (original creator of Shakugan no Shana) handling series composition. Tomoyuki Shitaya (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) serves as character designer, working from Toridamono‘s original designs. Atelier game series composer Kazuki Yanagawa will pen the music for the adaptation.
Attendees of next weekend’s AnimeJapan 2023 event will get even more information on the upcoming series. A limited number of copies of ~Hajimete no Ryza~, a “starter book” for people new to the story, will be distributed at the Aniplex booth. New goods will also be on sale. And on March 26, the lead voice actors will appear on the GREEN STAGE for a talk show event.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout is scheduled to debut in summer 2023.
