Aoashi Manga Artist Yugo Kobayashi Teams Up with Superfly in Collab MV

Superfly, the solo musical act headed by Shiho Ochi, released a new collaboration animation music video for the song “Presence,” featuring visuals by Aoashi manga artist Yugo Kobayashi which chronicles the story of how the two artists from Ehime Prefecture first met. “Presence” is the second official opening theme song for the Aoashi  TV anime.

The original Aoashi manga is serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Shogakukan Asia. Crunchyroll currently streams the Aoashi TV anime, and describes the story of the series as follows:

 

After a loss in his last junior high school soccer tourney, Ehime Prefecture’s ace player, Ashito Aoi, is devastated but in every loss there’s a victory. Tatsuya Fukuda, manager of an organization that trains students for one of the leading clubs in the J-League, sees Ashito’s raw talent and offers a tryout to his group. Together they’ll bring the youth club and Aoshi’s talents to new heights!
