Anya Cutes It Up in Major 3D Billboard Ad for SPY x FAMILY

The premiere of the SPY x FAMILY anime’s second cour is only days away, and that means all kinds of promotions are rolling out for the fan-favorite series. TOHO animation put out the opening theme song animation as a sneak peek, but that’s not all. People in Tokyo are given an extra treat for advertisement — Anya talking to them at the Cross Shinjuku Vision 3D billboard.

The billboard is located near the Shinjuku Station, and last month it paid homage to cats in Pokémon for a Pokémon GO promotion. This time around, Anya shows up twice every hour.

Knowing not everyone can be in Tokyo to see the 3D ad in person, the official SPY x FAMILY Twitter handle tweeted this video:

SoraNews24 provided this translation of what she says: “Hey, everybody down there, Anya has a request for you all. Don’t miss what Anya gets up to!”

Anya is also being advertised on the Shinjuku Alta Vision billboard, which is a hop, skip and a jump away from the Cross Shinjuku Vision 3D billboard. In fact, it’s possible to see Anya on both at the same time!

Anya’s Cross Shinjuku Vision ads began on September 26. New episodes of SPY x FAMILY start on October 1, and Anya will continue with her twice-hourly ads until October 9.

VIZ Media publishes the original manga by Tatsuya Endo in English, and gave this description for it:

“Master spy Twilight is the best at what he does when it comes to going undercover on dangerous missions in the name of a better world. But when he receives the ultimate impossible assignment—get married and have a kid—he may finally be in over his head!

Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!”
