Anime Talent Shoko Nakagawa Announces Marriage

 

Japanese variety talent Shoko Nakagawa, also known as Shokotan by fans, announced to her fan club on April 28 that she has gotten married to a man who is not part of the entertainment industry. The media personality is known for hosting various Pokémon variety shows, performing the opening theme song “Sorairo Days” for Gurren Lagann as well as her countless hilarious online postings.

 

Nakagawa later posted a video on her YouTube channel going into detail:

 

 

Nakagawa stated that the man is the same age as her and that he loves animals. She also “respects the way he works towards his dreams.” Nakagawa explained that she fell in love with her new husband during a period of grief over the loss of her “soul partner,” her cat Mepo, earlier this year. She said that his presence in her life was comforting, especially because he is also a cat lover.

She went on to say that she is grateful to all of her fans for their love and support over the past 20 years and will continue to work as hard as ever.
