TMS Entertainment has big plans for this year’s Anime NYC, featuring one of its newest projects and one of its longest-running series!
The company will kick things off on Saturday, November 19 at 7pm with a world-premiere screening and panel for the upcoming anime HIGH CARD. The series, part of a broader multimedia project co-written by Kakegurui duo Homura Kawamoto and Hikaru Muno, has a theme of “Playing Cards x Supernatural Action”:
Kawamoto, Muno, and producer Hiroki Okamoto will be present for the premiere and panel, and Kawamoto and Muno will also have autograph signing engagements during the weekend. Plus, attendees will receive their own “X-Playing cards” as wielded by the stars of the project.
If your tastes tend toward more classic anime, head over to the Lupin the 3rd panel on Sunday, November 20 at 11am. The panel will feature announcements, news, pre-recorded discussions with dub actors Richard Epcar (Jigen) and Tony Oliver (Lupin), and a trivia contest where you can test your knowledge of anime’s greatest thief. Prizes include bomber jackets and Magnetic Press’s 50 Animated Years of Lupin the 3rd.
Anime NYC takes place November 18-20 at New York City’s Javits Convention Center. Visit the official website for full evet information.
