Asato Mizu, the manga author behind the Aharen-san wa Hakarenai series, has a new manga in the works. According to this year’s ninth issue of Futabasha’s Manga Action magazine, the new series will launch in its pages with more details to be revealed in the not-too-distant future.

The Aharen-san wa Hakarenai manga first made its debut on Shonen Jump+ in January 2017, and is set to end on April 30. As of April 4 there are now 16 collected volumes available. Mizu’s series previously inspired a TV anime adaptation, which streamed on Crunchyroll as it aired.

Anime synopsis:

Socially awkward Aharen-san has personal boundary issues, either getting too close or too far from her classmates. When fellow student Raido picks up an eraser she drops, Aharen-san decides they’re now best friends. Whether studying, playing the arcade, or just eating lunch—she’s along for the ride. What follows is an impromptu bonding that shows affection can blossom in the unlikeliest of places!
