20th Precure Series Hirogaru Sky! Precure Unveils Character Visuals, Main VAs & Staff

 

 

The official website for Hirogaru Sky! Precure (literally means The Expanding Sky! Precure), the forthcoming 20th series of Toei Animation’s long-running Precure franchise, is today updated with the latest information including visuals, voice cast, staff, a synopsis and a teaser trailer. It is also confirmed that the new series is set to premiere in Japan on February 5, 2023.

A big incident has occurred in the peaceful Skyland!? The young princess Elle-chan has been snatched away by the monsters of the Andaagu Empire! A brave young girl, Sora, follows the princess to a mysterious hole. The hole leads to Solasido City in another world…? Television? A car? Is that a magic tool!?!? But there’s no time to be surprised! I have to get the Princess back to her castle…! Fly between two worlds! The adventures of the Precure are about to begin! It’s time for our heroes!

The key visual features four new Precure girls – Cure Sky, Cure Prism, Cure Wing, and Cure Butterfly:

 

 

Akira Sekine (Princess in Princess Principal) is cast as Sora Harewataru / Cure Sky, who is staying at the home of Mashiro Nijigaoka, a second-year junior high school girl she met in Solasido City, along with Elle. Meanwhile, Ai Kakuma (Isuzu Sento in Amagi Brilliant Park) plays Mashiro Nijigaoka, and Aoi Koga (Kaguya Shinomiya in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) voices Elle.

 

Koji Ogawa, who has been working on the Precure series since Heartcatch Precure! in 2010-2011, makes his TV series directorial debut, along with series composition writer Ryunosuke Kingetsu (Police in a Pod), character designer Atsushi Saito (Love Live! Superstar!!), and soundtrack composer Erika Fukasawa.

 

The opening theme song “Hirogaru Sky! PreCure ~Hero Girls~” is sung by Ami Ishii, who sing a Precure song for the first time. And the ending theme song “Hirorgarythm” is sung by Chihaya Yoshitake, who has been singing the theme songs for the Precure franchise since the 16th series Star☆Twinkle PreCure in 2019-2020.
