Man and Machine Merge in AI no Idenshi TV Anime Trailer
The boundaries between human being and sapient robot continue to blur in a new preview video for AI no Idenshi, an upcoming TV anime based on the science fiction manga by Kyuri Yamada. In addition to the new PV (below), a new key visual, additional cast members, the OP / ED theme song performers, and the Japanese broadcast details have also been revealed.
The new cast members include:
- Jay voiced by Mutsuki Iwanaka
- Kaoru voiced by Natsumi Takamori
The opening theme song, entitled “No Frontier”, is performed by Aile The Shota. The ending theme song, entitled “Wasurenagusa” (“Forget-me-not”), is performed by GReeeeN.

The original AI no Idenshi manga and its sequels have been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion and Bessatsu Shonen Champion since 2015. The series is set in a futuristic world where human beings co-exist with intelligent machines known as “humanoids”. The story of the series follows Hikaru Sudo, a doctor who specializes in treating “new illnesses” that arise in the wake of interactions between humans and humanoids.
The AI no Idenshi TV anime is directed Yuzo Sato and features animation production by MADHOUSE. The series will broadcast in Japan as follows:
- Mainichi Broadcasting System: every Friday during the 25:53 time slot beginning on July 07, 2023.
- Tokyo Broadcasting System: every Friday during the 25:53 time slot beginning on July 07, 2023.
- BS-TBS: every Friday during the 26:30 time slot beginning on July 07, 2023.
- AT-X: every Sunday during the 23:30 time slot beginning on July 16, 2023.
Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming for the previous day, so for example the 25:53 time slot on Friday evening is actually at 1:53am JST on Saturday morning.
