Matchmaking of the Amagami Household Anime Adaptation Announced
This weekend marks the second anniversary of the debut of the Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister manga, AKA Matchmaking of the Amagami Household, as well as the birthday of its creator, Marcey Naito. But fans got the biggest gift of all: the reveal that an anime adaptation is on the way!
The organizer in charge of this week’s event noted that fans have been very engaged in the series since its debut, and thus wanted those hardcore fans to be the first to know. Normally the announcement would be released in an issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine—its home publication—but this surprise reveal was deemed more fitting.

So far, no cast or crew has been attached to the project. Look forward to those announcements in future!
Matchmaking of the Amagami Household debuted in December 2020 as a Weekly Shonen Magazine one-shot, becoming a full-fledged series in April 2021. As of its second anniversary, nine volumes are in print, and it has sold more than 850,000 copies.
Kodansha USA distributes the title in English, and describes it thus:
Uryu Kamihate has had a rough start to life, but plans to forget it all by achieving his dream—matriculating into medical school. But when he arrives at his new foster home, a working shrine, his dream of a quiet place to study goes up in smoke. Not only will he be living with the three beautiful, lively Amagami sisters—but he learns that he must marry one of them and take over the temple!
